OCD Treatment

Using Exposure and Ritual Prevention

Exposure and Ritual Prevention Therapy (EXRP) is a form of behavioral therapy, which is considered the gold standard for treatment of Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) today. In EXRP a person is gradually exposed to the things they fear or avoid. The goal is to help them tolerate distress without engaging in compulsive behaviors or rituals.

Why do EXRP?

  • EXRP is an evidence-base program that has been proven to reduce anxiety and distress related to OCD symptoms.

  • It helps break the connection between obsessions and the urges to compulsively act on them.

  • It can improve quality of life and efficiency in work.
